Lifelong curiosity is nurtured by making learning an exciting and engaging process. For the Academy for Children students, that’s precisely our goal. Every minute of the day is looked upon as an opportunity for new understanding and growth.  Plenty of outdoor time on our playground gives students the chance to play, interact and get some fresh air.  Art and Music & Movement classes provide outlets for student creativity and self-expression.  We offer individualized activities in Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Spanish and French, and Social Studies, supplemented by activities—both inside and outside the classroom—that emphasize experiential learning. Science and library activities impart foundations in research and literary skills. By posing “Wh” questions we enhance critical thinking skills. problem solving, imagination, and independence of thought.
